Cabinetry fabrication & installation, Etobicoke, Ontario
design objectives: The installation in
this suburban living room addition included a credenza to define
the space of the living room, a classic standing bar cabinet and
fireplace flanked on either side by walnut cabinetry that houses
A/V equipment. The installation involved furring out the wall to
visually accommodate the depth of the new zero clearance gas fireplace.
The depth of the cabinets allows the doors to be pocketed while
the carved walnut handle add a sensuous touch to the project The
hearth of the fireplace is trimmed out with cold rolled steel that
surrounds a cement board base that has been finished with urethane.
materials: Walnut cabinetry, hot rolled
steel details, limestone, slate, urethaned tile backerboard.
